Description: RJM Design is seeking a mid-level landscape designer with 5+ years of experience working in a design firm to join our growing studio.

As a small firm we offer the opportunity to make a direct impact while gaining valuable experience quickly through exposure to a variety of tasks and exciting projects.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a Landscape Architecture or Architecture Firm.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Landscape Architect or pursuing licensure

 

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in all phases of the landscape design process from Planning and Conceptual Design through Construction Documents and Construction Administration;

  • Knowledgeable in planting design, construction materials, and technical aspects of landscape architecture;

  • Able and eager to work on a diverse project types including: private residential, parks and recreation, corporate and institutional campus planning, urban and streetscape, and specialty projects;

  • Proficient in Auto CAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and hand sketching;

  • Detail-oriented, highly-organized, self-motivated, and resourceful;

  • Able and experienced in multitasking required at this level;

  • Skilled in graphics and design;

  • Able to take initiative and to work collaboratively;

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Demonstrate an ability to think creatively and problem solve.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and project teams and interact with clients and sub-consultants in the development of drawings from Planning and Conceptual Design through Construction Documents and Construction Administration;

  • Perform quality control including thorough red-lining of drawings for junior staff;

  • Develop presentations and present to clients and consultants during project meetings;

  • Assist with proposal writing and fee development.
